BLACK 10680 Compressor Pressure Switch – 230V | 15A | M12

Description

The BLACK 10680 Compressor Pressure Switch is designed for automatic control of compatible 230V air compressors and pneumatic systems.

The pressure switch controls compressor operation according to the pressure in the air system. When the configured upper pressure threshold is reached, the switch stops the compressor motor. When pressure falls to the configured lower threshold, it allows the compressor to start again.

Designed for single-phase 230V applications, the BLACK 10680 features a maximum stated working current of 15A, a conventional thermal current (Ith) of 20A, and a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 400V.

Its durable protective housing, mechanical switching system, and accessible electrical connections make it suitable as a replacement component when repairing or maintaining compatible workshop and household compressors.

Automatic Compressor Control

The BLACK 10680 pressure switch is designed to automatically control the compressor motor according to system pressure.

When the pressure reaches the configured upper cut-off threshold, the switch interrupts compressor operation. As compressed air is used and the pressure falls to the configured restart threshold, the pressure switch allows the compressor to operate again.

This provides convenient automatic cycling without manually switching the compressor on and off during normal operation.

230V / 15A Electrical Rating

The pressure switch is intended for compatible single-phase 230V compressor systems.

The supplied specifications state:

Operating voltage: 230V
Maximum working current: 15A
Conventional thermal current (Ith): 20A
Rated insulation voltage (Ui): 400V

The compressor motor and electrical installation must remain within the applicable ratings of the pressure switch.

Durable Construction

The BLACK 10680 features a protective housing designed to shield the internal switching mechanism and electrical connections during normal compressor operation.

The internal mechanical system incorporates metal components and electrical contacts designed for repeated compressor switching cycles.

The removable housing provides access to the electrical terminals for installation and servicing.

Replacement & Repair Applications

The BLACK 10680 can be used when replacing a compatible damaged or worn compressor pressure switch.

Before installation, compatibility should be checked carefully, including:

Supply voltage
Motor current
Pneumatic connection
Pressure range and switching requirements
Electrical connection configuration
Compressor manufacturer’s specifications

Correct compatibility is essential for safe and reliable compressor operation.

Important Safety & Compatibility Information

The pressure switch must be compatible with the compressor’s voltage, motor current, pressure requirements, pneumatic connection, and electrical configuration before installation.

The 20A Ith rating should not be interpreted as a 20A motor-load rating. The supplied maximum working current is 15A.

A pressure switch provides automatic pressure-based compressor control, but it does not replace a correctly specified pressure-relief/safety valve or other safety devices required by the compressor system.

Electrical and pneumatic installation should be carried out according to the compressor manufacturer’s requirements and applicable electrical safety regulations.
